Twelve years ago we started We Make Young Stars to provide best in class football coaching for boys and girls of all abilities.

Over the years we’ve developed a discovery learning theory to make our training fun, but effective. With over 200 players signed to professional clubs, it seems to be working!
The right approach
We find if you give players all the answers, they get lazy. They don’t think for themselves. They can’t problem solve. We want to present situations in which the environment teaches them and they can learn continuously with no fear of making mistakes.
We Make Young Stars believe in a combination of learning through discovery, guided discovery and occasionally an autocratic (controlling) coaching style.
Guided discovery will often speed up the process in which the player finds the ‘right answer’. With trial and error, we are hoping the child gets the answer, however it may not come. The guidance points them in the right direction (the right direction is always open to interpretation).

Qualified, energetic coaching
Many of our academy managers are FA Level 3 qualified, with younger coaches typically holding Level 1 and 2 qualifications. Coaches, often with a high-level playing background, undergo our We Make Young Stars exams, ensuring a creative and imaginative coaching environment.
Safe & secure at all times
All of our staff members go through an extensive training programme which ensures you know your children are 100% safe in our care. Every coach must hold a valid DBS check before they can begin working with any children.
Great facilities - rain, hail or shine
We take great pride in the venues we hire and the majority have access to indoor and outdoor facilities during the winter months, which means our training is rarely cancelled!

What we do
We offer fun football training sessions which help players become the best they can be. Our proven training syllabus runs 50 weeks of the year and has helped players achieve ranging level of success. Some players have grown in confidence and developed a love for football and others have progressed to becoming premier league footballers.
Weekly Group Training
A fresh football class every week. Our 39-week school term schedule focuses on a new football fundamental skill each week, along with 1-on-1 practice. Just find a day and time that suits you.
Football Development Camps
Our week-long holiday development camps focus on football fundamentals, games, matches, tournaments, and fun, catering to first-timers, fostering friendship, and supporting children's rapid progression.
